I work on %. I like it. No stress or worry about miles per day. Just get there on time at whatever pace you like. Avg take home 800-1200/wk. but I also have all the benefits and HSA contribution. So about 200/wk into that before my net.

38 weeks(approximately) x 1800 miles (average) = 68,400 miles for the year.
$60,000 ÷ 68,400 miles = 0.8871929825 per mile. round that off to $0.89 per mile in MY pay off the hub. Wow. I'm really getting screwed here on percentage pay. Sure.WildTiger1990, jsnell and CruzControhl Thank this. -
I'm starting to see this more and more. I-m curious about it.

25% of nothing is still nothing. Ask for the freight bill, you'll likely won't see it. It is a shady trucking practice from way back. Bulk carriers in particular seem to practice this pay structure. This way they don't pay for delays, layovers, or overtime. Expect to be screwed at tax time also.
Cheezy_smile, 201 and CruzControhl Thank this.
