Can’t stand the circle crap like how to turn the wheel. Most people don’t realize looking in a mirror inverts it. Just point which way to push the butt of the trailer and say stop.

Last week, while blind siding, I had a well meaning Driver get in front of my Truck and start doing the wheel turning thing, while trying to pull up, He throws his arms, two fisted in the air, STOP!!!! I pointed him to his Truck, Thanks anyway, I got it, your making Me nervous. I’d hate to crush him, if my clutch linkage broke or foot slipped.Same with someone standing behind my trailer. They mean well, but my Truck backs differently than most. I know what It can and can’t do. I’m not above needing help, but usually it’s an aggravation. And possibly dangerous.

Few years of driving i put on some weight. Starting to think i might need a spotter on my home time. Bumped the wrong dock a couple times and the reciever isnt to happy about that.

If you guys want to watch some serious spotters in action. watch some experienced mobile home movers snake a 16X80 house through the trees and spot it exactly where it needs to be.
A few years ago, I had to blindside at a 90 down a steep ramp into a hole they were digging for a foundation.
This had zero room to mess up, and the job super decides to guide me. He is literally pointing both hands in opposite directions. I know which way I need to go and continue on a few feet and he starts shaking his hands, still pointing opposite directions, so I set the brakes and go back, both to look at where I am and to ask what he thinks he is doing. He tells me he wants the trailer to go this way and the truck to go that way.
I busted up, and told him if he pays attention, he will notice they are hooked together. lol
I was on a construction job, with a new crew once and the super would take his fist and hit his head a few times acting like he was a little mad. every hand on the job kept asking me what that meant. I finally ask him and his responce was use your head ######. I laughed and told him, I better tell the guys, they just think you are nuts.Rideandrepair and Lepton1 Thank this. -
