What about the guys who have a post for a satellite dish on their mirror? They probably take 'em out behind the scale house and whip them with a cane pole.

OH Groan. I have a hot plate, Fridge, TV, Microwave, Computer, Sat Radio, Even a George Forman Grill, 2 Books and a Bible. Mountain Dew. Aspirin, Enough changes of cloths for 1 week.
They'll shut me down for a 34 for sure! -
-
Hope there is a place after a week where I can wash my cloths. LOL.

The sad part about this survey is consider that you took the 10 hour break in a motel room.
It has a refrigerator, tv, and your computer. I guess you could be put out of service for that as well.Last edited: Apr 9, 2009

I don't see how a person can be forced to take this survey without a specific statute or law requiring it. There is also some encroachment into fifth amendment rights concerning self incrimination as well.

KO1927 Thanks this.

I just can't get over just how stupid this mess is. The very things we use to relax are wearing you out? The things that spark you up (dew) are wearing you out?
And perhaps it's that enormous two week load of clothes to wash that really tips the scales. That should about exhaust even the most hardy highway henchman to a near comalike state. -
You just became a dog on a leash, wanted to know what size collier to put on you. -
I think its unfair that a sleepwalker could also get busted for having a messy sleeper. Obviously if a person was sleep walking in the sleeper things would get a little disorganized.
So what does a person do? Do you just pull the brakes and stop on the scale for your 10 hours? After all, you do have a cell phone in your truck and your eyes became watery from driving into the sun while pulling upto the scale. I think that makes you too tired to drive to a parking spot.
How do they even find out if you're sleep walking? Do they look for the shaking cab in the parking lot? I think if they snooped around they might find a trucker doing something else instead. I've never seen a sleep walking trucker. Do they walk around the parking lot like some kind of zombie in the night?
