Do you have a home time request in for those dates? That would pressure the planners to get you there on time.
But even so, there are always loads down to SoCal from that area.

Do you have a DM or TM that will plan a load for you if you need?
Many are afraid to get their hands dirty, but some are cool with it.

Yes put in home time as soon as I knew the appt dates.
Will have approx 5 visits to the dentist b4 getting teeth back in shape.
Then have 8 days off during the 4th of July week for a 6 day fishing trip.
Then having to go thru the sleep study again not sure how long that's gonna take b4 getting the machine.
I have appt set for a week after I come back from vacation. They are giving me a machine and taking it home overnite and returning it the next morning. So will have to find a motel near there.
My dm knows all about the issues with doc appts.

I can not... well, I don't even want to imagine trying to plan all that and get it right.
All too complicated for me. I like to keep things simpler.

Not too hard lol. One visit a month. Try and get other appts. Day b4 or after the dentist. Keeps me at 2 days off.
Also got to get my med card done b4 end of July. Might do that this home time. Depending how I feel at the time.
It just sucks that I have to spend my home time at a doc office lol. But that's what I get for procrastinating so long

I go to the doctor once a year to renew my BP meds, and that is once too often for my taste. I really hate wasting part of that home time as well.
And I only do that for this job, otherwise it would be no doctors at all.
(Well, aside from the yearly DOT physical, which I do not count as going to the doctor.)

Every year he wants to run additional tests on me because I am over 60, to which I say 'Nay, Nay!'.
I do not go looking for trouble, and I will not fund the medical monster machine that feeds and sucks off the insurance scam machine.

Taking us95 all the way is 1175.
Called dl and told him I rather take us95 and he agrees.

I have never avoided the road check, but this time I will be in a motel with the truck in the shop.
Unless Swift does something bad like put me in a different truck.

I'm at the Rodeway Inn in Beckley, WV. Nice place for a cheap place, and very nice people here. They like truck drivers. They bent over backwards to get a room clean for me when I got here at 10 this morning, when a lot of places would say 'check in time is 3PM'.
They have free breakfast, their own little convenience store, guest laundry, micro and fridge...

    Spokane wa at the Petro.
Stopped at the Lewiston terminal so I can get the license plate light fixed.
Had messaged the planner for a load straight back to so cal due to doc appt Monday and tues.
Sent me a preplan as I started climbing white bird grade. So pulled off at the 1st pull out and looked at it.
Pick up anytime tomorrow at Lewiston terminal and goes to commerce ca.
Only issue is delivery date is Monday at 080p.
My dl is off rest of week so called my St by dl lol.
Kept losing signal so waited till I got thru the pass.
Kept stressing that it would be gone b3 I can talk to him.
Finally got thru and said if I could tcall it Sunday. He said call him tomorrow when I pick it up and will see about a switch for a local.
Might be able to get to jurupa saturnite nite but not really sure with the recaps I am running.
I have a 6 am delivery tomorrow here in Spokane valley 20 miles away.
I have 12 hrs tomorrow, 5.5 hrs the next and 20 hr the next 2 days after that.
Will be there Sunday for sure

Dang, Moose, hope they get it sorted soon.

We had a special order come from certainteed. A job site delivery. In bloody Santa Monica. I10 exit 1B. Had flag crews and the whole deal. Nose into site, back into far lanes take off, the delivery went off without a hitch. Easiest jobsite delivery ever. Except for the bloody 405 portion of the trip, mildly plesant.

Left Vegas roughly 5am. Got back by like 1630 with 30 minutes left. Certainteed scheduled it for 8am, me and my DM both laughed at that. But they were there all day, made no difference too them.

Got a new guy (like 1st week solo.) hadnt touched a strap till he showed up in vegas. We have been helping him out, hes picking it up quick.

Back to the same ole Rancho route tommorow.

    dptrucker Thanks this.
