Man air is worst too soft, i rather chose hard suspension than soft. On hard you hit bump once, with soft 3-4 times
In my eyes comfortable dont mean soft

    Something to ponder.

In the 1960's and 70's long wheelbase cabover trucks that travelled through the Rocky Mountains or were working for moving and van line companies all across NA were a common sight, being their greatest advantage was their volume freight carrying ability, which actually improved the aerodynamics by carrying a large box on the frame that left a short gap between the trailer and truck.

I see Walmart is using them, probably the closest thing to a Euro truck in NA.
    Walmart-Supercube-01.jpg

They called them dromedary trucks and faded away with the onslaught of conventional style trucks after changes to length laws in the USA, the longer trucks didn't beat the drivers up like a short COE and they became the norm.

Was the trucking industry in NA during the1950's, 60's and 70's more forward thinking when it came to moving freight efficiently, within the given laws and regulations of that time, than they are today?

except demo trucks no, i have seen few ford cargo like 5-7 pcs, one new tractor and 2 demo trucks.
price is very high, about same as MAN higher than DAF.
buying such thing is not smartest move, lack of dealer support and not possible to sell latter, untried product....

just read that FL wrote their truck have 14 air vent in cab which allow uniform air distribution.
is that good or bad number?

here trucks had 40-50 vents already 20-25years ago.

    sdaniel and Oxbow Thank this.
