I have never seen a polar bear up here. They are on the slope, ne even came over a hundred miles down the road following the caribou, eating the leftovers from the bow hunters.. Lots of drivers saw it, but I didn't have the luck I guess. I do see grizzlies, a couple of years ago two cubs were playing in the road, a guy in a pickup was on the other side of them and stopped to take their picture. One was on its back laying in the road and I coasted up close to them before they noticed me, the one on it's back jumped straight up in the air, and the guy got a picture of it, all you could see was it and the grill of my freightliner. He was suppose to text it to me when he got service, but I never got it . lol

Ive been on 2 crazy roads, both in Colorado. The first one is the well known US 550 between Durango and montrose. Its called red mountain pass or something, but has a few old iron mines. Going Northbound in a truck is safe, but going southbound I won't do. I actually take the san juan skyway whoch is 40 miles longer if i have to go southbound. The reason is there are blind s curves and not enough room for a semi to stay off the zipper in some of them. If going Northbound, you have better visibility and can stop to wait for other lane to be clear.
The second road is a road that led up to a shipper. This road was more dangerous than us550 because it was muddy and snowing with a 7 to 9% grade. I actually got stuck going up it empty and had to back down a little bit to get grip for a second attempt. Going down loaded was much better, but i still did not let it out of 4th gear. Picture shown i was stopped i promise.Attached Files:

It’s getting dark and your “route” well off the Interstate is first a state, then county road which goes from being paved to being a raised grass-covered track. And you with 43k of steel out back. Hasn’t been any traffic whatsoever.
And, indeed, you do come to the town way back in the forest that is a pair of intersecting unpaved streets. Also grass. Not a single building is from the 20th Century. Board sidewalks. No one around. No parked vehicles to be seen.
And then the light is gone.Intothesunset Thanks this. -
