reefer is the easiest out of the three options imo. theres always a new set of unforeseen BS to deal with every day, but thats part of being a new trucker.

short answer: i made good money there and roehl is better than prime.

I don't understand putting money on a reloadable card. What the point. Doesn't the bank and debit card accomplish that?

Even on the top bunk you are going to want a sleeping bag because of all the students that have slept up there. The short answer to pack as lightly as possible. Your trainer will appreciate it. And you want make a good impression and get along with him. It's only for 6 weeks.

Shower shoes. Modest entertainment devices like a cell phone for internet and tablet for watching movies when you aren't driving. A few hundred dollars emergency money. And enough underwear and socks to change out before you have to clean them so you don't stink too much.

If you can fit it in your duffle bag in addition to those things then you are probably fine to bring it. That's what I did and it worked out fine.

boils down to personal preference. If you want a job that you can do entirely in your pajamas reefer is the way to go.

I like driving at night and its easier to get on a third shift schedule.
If theres no food loads around you can still haul general freight in that thing.
You’ll visit a lot of big box DCs where its easy to maneuver.
When I was at Roehl the reefers had air ride and the vans didn’t, so tandems were easier to slide on reefers and they didn’t give me shaken baby syndrome going down the road.
Load securement is almost never needed or required...

I better stop before someone calls me a steering wheel holder.

Try some deep fried cheese curds. Delicious.
