A problem with many 20 inch wheel folding bikes is they are geared low. And someone will out grow that, somewhat quickly. A plus side is, i can be riding my Dahon within a minute of opening passenger door. As opposed to 4 minutes off attaching wheel and seat on the Montague. At end of day with fading light, the quicker to ride was nice but not really comfortable for long rides....
Time for exercise?

A little bigger than most, but made right down the road from me. The scooter is pretty cool, though.

Awesome, the idea of having a bike on the road is enticing for sure..
I always cringe when someone says cut the carbs.. who are you monsters that don't eat pasta and bread LOLRideandrepair and JoeyJunk Thank this. -
I like to do parkour while I’m at the truck stop. It really gets the juices flowing. And it’s sure easy since I only have to pack a good pair of shoes. I also do it when I’m loading and tarping my flat bed. I have lost 213 pounds doing it and my abs are shredded now.
It will also help when I get on American ninja warrior, or get accepted in to the seals.HoneyBadger67, Rideandrepair, shogun and 1 other person Thank this. -
when i'd be at a customer and i had no responsibility to be on the docks, i'd walk the property.
you ned to cut done on high salt, high fat snacks, and high sugar drinks.
you need to cut down on the candy bars, ice cream and above all else, stay away from the buffet table, and eat a low calorie foods instead.
very easy to gain weight while you're on the road and always snacking or over eating.Rocks, Rideandrepair, peterd and 1 other person Thank this. -
I would look into intermittent fasting. Eat all your calories in a 6-8 hr period each day, (the warrior fast is in a 4hr period) don't eat junk obviously, and do some cardio (get a jump rope, some jumping jacks maybe) before ur first meal every day so ur body uses ur fat reserves for energy. Try it and i bet in just two weeks u won't believe the changes u'll be seeing. There are calculators online where u plug in ur height and what u r trying to do (cut weight, bulk up blah blah) as well as how much exercise u do and it will tell u exactly how many calories you should consume daily, as well as a breakdown of how many grams of carbs, fat, and protein to shoot for. You must get ur body in a caloric deficit to lose the weight. My wife is skeptical of this because of the myth that stuffing ur face with food as soon as u wake up in the morning is really important, but there's a kidney doctor, Dr. Jason Fung, who emphasizes the positive affects of this eating habit, and he is asian and wears glasses so he must be really smart, right? Eating in a 8 hr window is easy, it's basically just skipping breakfast. Doing so will help lower ur insulin levels so when u hit up some cardio (i suggest looking up examples of high intensity cardio to really shave pounds off fast) ur body can get into ur fat storage for energy easily. Tellin ya two weeks u'll be amazed so try it, eat lots of fruits and veggies grilled chicken brown rice grilled fish blah blah u'll be feeling like a different person. Oh and try to cut out added sugars completely. That helps a lot. Steel cut oats with a banana and apple cut up is a favorite of many of these health nuts i've researched, and u can sprinkle some cinnamon on it for some flavor. Good luck.

I’m overweight and things that helped me mostly was flatbedding and taking my dog. Lots of opportunity for exercise if you think about it, look how much time people spend on Instagram or Facebook.
There’s a lot of rest areas with walking paths also. You don’t need to hardcore it, just walk a bit every time you stop, and park far away.Rideandrepair, steverino, Intothesunset and 1 other person Thank this. -
I dont do any exercises and still loose 6-8lbs weekly ...for example this week i had 4 tarping and untarping in 90f with almost 100% humidity ...dont care much about food yet , i usually have steak plate in the eve on the truck stop - just one meal a day , rest of the day water , yogurts , fruits
Keep my weight at 220 last 10 years with 6'6" heightRocks, Adieu, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this. -
Diet: cut out soda, bread, basically anything that's high sugar or high starch. Eat at least one good meal a day, and cut out the snacking while driving food. Drink at least 2 liters of actual water a day.
Exercise: cardio, walking, jogging, bicycling, jump rope, whatever you're capable of 15-45 minutes a day. Strength training, calisthenics (push-ups/situps/squats), resistance bands, whatever 15-45 minutes a day. The strength training will slow down your weight loss at first but then it will speed it up later once you have a solid base. Don't forget to stretch.
I tend to do about 45 minutes a day, 15 minutes when I wake up, 15 minutes during my 30, and 15 more when I shut down. I'm 6'6" and I stay around 200lbs now.Rocks, Rideandrepair and Intothesunset Thank this.
