hauling a haz-mat load.
And if you are not getting paid any more to haul haz mat than regular
freight than they are not doing right by you. You are taking a greater
rish hauling that stuff and for no more compensation. Personally I would not haul it if they would not pay any more. Sure you may miss
out on a load but at least they are not getting over one on you.
The other day I took a haz mat load that paid $1200 down to Fourchon, the next day I took another load to the same place, non hazmat that paid only $800. That gives you an idea of how much more the company
is making when you haul haz mat. -
I wonder if this driver was told that he would be paid extra for haz-mat? If he was and didn't get paid he needs to contact the person he reports to and get it straightened out. -
they do pay more than a non haz mat load.

They sure do pay more if the carrier is collecting it. Sorry, didnt mean to offend you but I was just pointing out that the accessorial charge may be different depending upon the negotiated rates, that's all.

PTRBILT are you hanging in there? Haven't seen anything from you in a few days....let us know how you are doing buddy! Thanks and good luck!!

you did not offend me one bit.
I just wanted to make sure my msg got across.
And another thing is I guarantee that the carrier is collecting "it".
And so should you. As I stated earlier you are taking a greater risk
hauling hazardous materials and are more likely to be watched by the
DOT.
