Yet again your ignorance shines through. If you had any practical knowledge of trucks you would know that visor doesn't limit the view of the road. That's a short hood truck about a foot shorter than mine, and if i drop my seat all the way to the floor it only effects my view of the road by a minimal, certainly not enough to effect safety

This is a perfect example of why everyone in this thread, including your fellow europeans, thinks you are an ignorant fool that doesnt have a clue about trucks.

Nothing wrong with ignorance, no one expects someone not in the industry to be knowledgeable about trucks. But insteed of asking questions like "doesn't that visor limit your view of the road?" You attack and insult like a petty little #####.

Because it allows him a passive aggressive way to insert his political views intro the thread. Just like his photoshopped trump picture a while back.

I edited your post to reflect my own thoughts, hope you don't mind.

Road safety is paramount, maximum visibility from the cab is paramount.
Blocking half the front window of any truck with a huge sun visor is unsafe.
From a professional truck driver I expect safety to be their top priority before fashion consciousness and perceived coolness.

Sure, you have excellent visibility with that thing:

    truck.jpg

The green line is your view of angle from a normal position, the red one from below that stupid sun visor. No difference at all, indeed.

One of the problems with the present DAF XF cabs is (according to some drivers) is that the front window isn't big enough to look right in front of the truck. That window is a bloody shop window compared with the peep holes of that truck.

Have a look at the next picture. Du you know what that thing is that I marked? A mirror, so that you can look right in front of the truck. Every European truck has one. The driver should see everything from the front of his truck onwards.
