JB Hunt, how many things can be said poorly about a company. Can't be as bad as I been reading cause they are extremely well known company. Although my neighbor does work for them so, see is believing. It seems that this sort of thing happens with every carrier, as I been reading. Isn't there one that does it's employees good. Isn't there any company any more that takes care of the working man.

I hear ya,I think Swift is just as bad at screwin drivers over and putting s##### on your DAC that is false,I have ordered my Dac report just so I can see what is on it,We can only dispute what may be on our DAC and nothing more.I am having to look at the smaller and local companies for Driving. It sucks, all I can say is hang in there and keep trying,I have a couple of good possabilties with a few very small companies that does OTR I mean way small (under 10 trucks) that happen to be hiring. They only ask for your MVR and No DAC report.

I would think a reputable company would not believe every thing on a DAC report I would fax a copy of the letter that states the real cost of damage to any company you put applications in at so they can see your former employer lied. My husband worked for a place that put a preventable accident on his DAC he was in his sleeper asleep in the truck stop late at night and a man backed into his truck now how that can be preventable is beyond me. I think some companies will put something bad on the DAC just out of spite. Don't give up on driving I am sure you can find a good place many local companies don't use DAC at least when my hubby worked local no one ever checked his DAC. Good luck to you hope things will get better.

Ok, If your husband had his truck backed into while he was in the sleeper. Obviously this isn't his fault and if you explain this to the company of hire they should undersand or I just wouldn't work for them. Maybe I don't exactly understand this DAC reporting but you can always dispute any claim.

sorry but you just dont understand the only way to dispute something is if the company that put it agrees t take it off and good luck with that because if a company takes it off they open them selfs up to even more legal battle because now you can sue for lost wages and all sorts of things its much easy to dispute your credit report than ones dac

I don't blame you for being ticked off. I started an organization called "Citizens Against Legal and Moral Abuse, Inc." because of so much crap going on, not only in the trucking industry, but in every industry imaginable. Our organization is planning on doing something to stop this type of thing to hurt drivers. No company should have that right to distroy someone's career for any reason as many of them will make up stories to put on a driver's DAC report. CALMA's web site is www.uscalma.org if you would like to visit our site. If you would like to email me, here is the email address abuse@uscalma.org. If you have any ideas at all that you could come up with for a program we could implement on putting a stop to DAC reports hurting drivers or any other ideas you might have, we would love to hear about it. If you don't know it yet, you can also put in a rebuttal on your DAC report and explain the entire situation.

Here is what happened to my husband just this week:

My husband applied at Celadon and thought he was hired and thank God they didn't hire him as they are completely and unconditionally unforgiving and vindictively evil. They used something against my husband that happened 35 years ago. We are not talking a few years, we are talking 35 years and that is not a mistake. We are shocked as no other company has ever had an issue that would bring back the memory in my husband's mind. He didn't disclose that he stole a sander and chain 35 years ago as he forgot about it and besides he thought the judge threw it out of court since he followed the judges orders and paid restitution and got his diploma as well as served four months probation. And now Celadon will not hire him and has threatened to put it on his DAC report that he falsified the application. Can you believe it? We cannot believe they could get away with that. If I am not mistaken, truth is not a defense for a malicious act if they do put it on his DAC. Does anyone have any comments about this situation in any way? My husband has never been in any kind of trouble like that again. Celadon said they spent $300 dollars on checking my husband out and no wonder they spent so much with going back 35 years. It wasn't my husband's fault they spent that much money and now Celadon wants him to pay by trying to stop him from getting another truck driving job. Wow! We are still in awe about this.

Also, if you get hired with Celadon, you better not make any mistakes as they will fire you at the drop of a hat. The recruiter told me that if a driver is charged with anything, they will fire the driver as the driver had no business being charged. What that means is if you have any kind of accident and you are charged with it, you will be fired because of it. Like the Bible says, those who are without sin, let him cast the first stone. Well, Celadon expects you to be perfect and if you fall short of that, they will fire you. Unbelievable!

I have to add one more thing, your career is not over. Just because JB Hunt put that on your DAC, they have to prove what they are saying or DAC will have to take it off your report. Contact me via email that I sent in the last message which is abuse@uscalma.org and see if we could implement a program to stop this sort of thing from happening to other truck drivers as well as to yourself. I know first hand what you are going through because I see my husband suffering the same way. It takes drivers to stand up and say "Enough is enough" and do something about it.

DonPissedOff: So sorry to hear about your troubles. How does one find a company that does not use DAC to hire?
