More for show trucks, than work trucks. I finally bent my 20 in bumper, so went back to a gull wing style last month, and like it better. I always bolt a piece of angle across the bottom and run two braces down besides the frame to the bottom anyway.
I would like one of the heavy logger bumpers, but they are spendy and then would have to ship it up, then again I would never have to buy another bumper either. lol -
Yea that ain’t got me, I’d forget to raise it haha. Nice concept though
adayrider Thanks this. -
I run the gull wing also, cheapest, lightest, and maybe more less air drag. LOL That's a great idea you got there with the angle. I'm going to steal that one if you don't mind. New bumper is like a mating call for deer for me. -
I caught a caribou last load, right on the corner, and never bent it. I couldn't even tell it till I got home and washed it. it put a small dimple at the center bolt on that side.
I bought this truck and this is just the second bumper I have had to put on it. The first gull wing that was on it when I bought it, I destroyed when I was unloading it off a step deck, as soon as rhe steer tires hit the ramps, they turned loose and dropped me, the bumper caught the tail of the trailer, there was no hope left for it. lol I then put the 20 in square bumper, looked good, but not practical, but still lasted several years.Lepton1 Thanks this. -

Welp, I’ve got a huge decision this week. My time as a company driver is coming to an end. The low air leaf truck is the better optioned truck vs the air Trac trucks. My buddy, an o/o keeps telling me to buy for resale down the road and that has me leaning to low air truck. ♂️
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
I like the looks of them myself, but that does not make them practical, and a guy doesn't have to go off road, I have seen them damaged in some truckstop parking lots.
But that is one of the freedoms we enjoy, is rigging our truck out the way we like it to be.
The ride ie much better than airtrac for sure.
I am no fan of air trac, even though I own one,and they break. The advantage with air trac is you can limp in when it is broke, as the axle can not go anywhere.Lepton1 Thanks this.
