You mean you DON’T care to get that well acquainted with the other driver’s butt?
We just had one retire that left a smell in every truck he drove that was so vile you’d need to disinfect the truck with Lysol.

I’ve thought of some possibilities:
- It’s bothersome.
- I forget.
- I don’t think they are effective.
- I think not wearing a seatbelt is safer.
- I don’t like government telling me what to do.
- Stupidity.

The air bags disables the engine, at least on most vehicles,
I picked up a honda Acura one night, that hit a coyote on I-40, both air bags went off. The driver said that was not a good deal at all, one minute he was sitting on 75 and sees a coyote run out and the next he has a busted nose a dead car and had no idea if he was still going down the road or which way he was headed, the bags pretty much totaled the car, because of a song dog. lolPE_T Thanks this. -
Maybe I don't like being tied to my job.
Toomuch trouble to take on and off when I want to go back in the sleeper and fix a sandwich.
Grew up without them like everybody at the time did, and the human race forgot to go extinct, just don't like them, and that is my choice.Rubber duck kw Thanks this. -

When you think about it, it really does make more sense to have seatbelts to keep the driver in place and create protections around the driver/passengers to keep them safe such as airbags, the frame of the vehicle, the bumpers, etc. By the way, contrary to popular opinion, a car is safer when it is crushable. You don’t want a rock-solid vehicle (for the most part). A vehicle that is crushable absorbs the impact so it’s not transferred onto the driver/passengers, which will result in their death.FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
