Barr-Nunn has done it again! More pay reductions for the driver.:biggrin_2555:Layover pay has been reduced to $50.00 for company drivers, and $65.00 for o/os.:biggrin_2553: It gets better. I hear that the some of the northeast regional drivers will be bumped off of salary pay, and put on mileage pay.:biggrin_25516:Try feeding your family on 1200 miles a week.

If that mileage pay is true, I see a lot of people quitting that job!

I heard about the layover pay today on the company phone message. That means they must be paying alot of layover out. The NE is a drought for freight. I always hear about 50+ trucks sittin in Pennslyvania waiting for loads. It is getting tough out there!
In the phone message, they admit they're low on freight.
I'm not sure it is much better anywhere else.

WOW. Thanks for letting us know! I drove for them a little over a year quite some years ago and I thought they were a good company. Now that would tick me off right there though. If I were one of those northeast drivers, I would quit! No way would I drive up there for squat even in these times!

There just isn't much freight to go around. I'm sure they're trying very hard to make it right though. Everything will be fine. You can enjoy your down time with a good book and a cup of coffee.

Update: Barr-Nunn just changed its bonus payout time line. You used to get a bonus at every 60,000 miles. They have pushed that back to 120,000 miles.

More signs of a trouble economy, when what use to be a good company might just become another statistic...

Thats a shame. Nothing like being a right to work employee at an otr company. And a large one too. People should have seen this coming. It is coming to other companies as well. The problem is that none of you can stop it. Eveything that is written in the employee handbook means nothing. They can change their minds on pay and benefits at any time.

The company then says, if you don't like, leave. That is what a lot of drivers will do. Why should the company care. There are a lot more out there who will work for pennies just to have a job.

Barr-Nunn is no different than any other otr company. Is it really that hard to see it?
