I will post a pic of him . he Just turned a year old. How old is yours ? We never had him fixed . he is uper lazy inside , and very playful with the other dogs outside. now we also have his sister , she is very goofy , mischife, but sweet. Her first six months was with my sister and she never handled her, Just threw her in the back yard and feed her the cheap crap for food , drove my wife nuts every time we went to vist,so one day we just told her the dog needed attention and a bigger yard, we brought her home ..so were hoping she is in her " 6 month puppy phase" , she just needs one on one workmanship.

My husky just turned a year old. And my black lab/golden retriever is close to a year and a half. Both full of energy. But, back on topic. When I was looking into going with Werner to start off, I asked about their pet policy. They never did say if they have a weight limit. So, I am guessing it would be safe to say that they don't. Which gives them a big plus to start out with. Although, the $1,000 deposit for a dog over 35 pounds is a bit much. But, my husky girl is worth paying any amount to have her along with me. Now I just need to find a company that will let me have a dog that's over 50 pounds, and won't charge me a fortune for it. It would be nice to find a company that will allow a dog over 100 pounds in the truck with me, as one day (after my husky is gone) I plan on getting a saint bernard. And they are big puppies.

I drive for Werner and here is the pet polocy, straight out of the employee handbook.....

You may have one dog or one cat on your truck so long as you:

    1. Make a $500 damage deposit (if your per weighs more than 35 pounds, the deposit if $1000). You must make the deposit by paying $250 up front - the rest will be taken out of your check at $50 a week. The payment must be made by money order or cashier's check, and no cash or personal checks will be accepted. We must have the the money order or cashier's check in hand (at any terminal) before the permit will be issued. Your per damage deposit will be refunded when the pet is off your truck and you have requested the tractor to be inspected for pet damage at one of the terminals. You must then call a Driver Services Rep. in Omaha and request your refund to be returned.

    2. You must provide copies of your pet's rabies shot record. Originals must also be carried on the truck.

    3. Keep your pet on a leash when outside the truck.

    4. Never let the pet out of the truck on a customer's property or in any customer or Company owned building.

    5. Your cat MUST be declawed.

Any damage caused by your pet will be charged against your deposit, and any damage in excess of the deposit will be charged directly to the driver. Should a driver fail to obtain a pet permit, any damage caused by a pet will be charged to the driver, and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken.

    ---------

    Hope this helps!

Shocking, isn't it? Now if the price of everything else, including fuel, would do the same....
