This what happens when you don’t wear a seatbelt and someone Tbones you from the side or ram you from behind.

I wear my Seat beat all the time, even when parked or trying to back up.

Yes, most would rather be thrown out than be burned alive, BUT as someone already said, you cannot foresee the future. So the best course of action is to go by probabilities. We do it all the time.

The scenario you’re presenting is similar to me saying, I’d rather be held safely in my seat that has airbags all around me than to bust out of my windshield at 50 MPH and hit a pole or any other stationary object.

To my knowledge, to receive a health insurance discount, you need to qualify for it. Anyone can fill out the application online, but they must prove their income, among other things.

For those who don’t know, shopping for health insurance through HealthCare.gov is easy. If you are under 50 and have no chronic health condition requiring constant use of pills or expensive procedures, then go with the highest deductible available to reduce your yearly health insurance cost. If you are always broke, maybe not the highest deductible. You gotta have the money available for the deductible if you ever need it. If you are buying a home, you should be able to get an equity loan.

I’m referring to an across the board discount that all Drivers should have gotten, after the seatbelt law went into effect. The mandate was pushed by insurance companies, in order to save on hospital bills. Did anyone’s insurance go down? Health insurance is a whole different topic. I currently have a high deductible BCBS policy through healthcare.gov. I’m happy with it. Having been put through the ringer already, high deductibles have been a fact of life for years now anyway.

All the more reason to not wear it. I would not want to a burden on my family or tax payers.

The odds of regaining control after leaving the roadway is very slim. Best chance at surviving any accident is not to leave the roadway.

Dude, just put on your seat belt. Either that or maybe place some spikes on your steering wheel so you make sure you don’t make it out alive. Jesus help us!

If I should die in a vehicular accident, I dont want the corresponding news article to say -
Driver was not wearing a seatbelt
    or
Rider was not wearing a helmet

A full face helmet saved my life in 1984 -
