Dont fall for the hype there is no such actual thing as "fake mainstream news media" The same investors, wall street bankers, billionaires etc. Own both sides, in is in thier best financial interest to make you think there is.

I find it strange that suddenly a recession is on the horizon right before election year. I dont want to get off into politics and I hear you about financial interests on both sides. There is ####ery afoot no doubt. I read an article earlier that stated an adjustment is in progress due to uncertainty about the tariffs and inventory needs to bleed off before things pick back up again. There are actually not enough people out there to fill the jobs that are available.

If those jobs were that great the Megas would not be able to find drivers.

Freight is awful! It’s so slow! I’m only getting 3,000 miles a week! :biggrin_2551:

I dont know it there is a "one size fits all answer" to your question. For me personally, I like trying to run as many miles as possible in a week. It's a bit of a game for me. I've made good money doing it over the years and it works. My family is taken care of, my child support is getting paid faithfully, I am not in financial peril. At the end of the day, I prefer OTR over local and many other guys and gals do as well. However, my main focus is having a job that takes care of all my obligations easily, whether its local, region, OTR, or even if it's not a CDL job. I have realized that in life more often than not, one has to give up some things to make some money. Sometimes people are lucky and they dont, but for most people, making a good living financially seems to come at a bigger cost than monetary.

I will say you have a very good and positive attitude, Which many do not.
I personally couldn't drive 2400-3000 miles per week 50 weeks a year for umteen years- That'd aboiut kill me.

The Megas wouldn’t be able to find drivers...

You mean they wouldn’t be able to find a fat EDIT with zero work history who’s spent the last decade living in his grandmothers basement smoking weed and playing video games neglecting personal hygiene who realizes that since grandma passed, he has to go find employment?

Whenever you see a thread entitled, “If you had to choose between Moron Trucking and Dingleberry Express, which would you choose?”, whenever you read something about someone in trucking school getting a prehire letter, whenever someone is interested in trucking and they don’t have any work history to put on an application, whenever someone is interested in trucking because they’ve FAILED at everything else in life, whenever it is that you see someone that’s unwilling to beat the bushes to find their ideal job, whenever you see a person that wants to put the bare minimum in their career...

...bet on them going to a mega. Why? It is the path of least resistance.

    Six back quiet.

These days it's not often I see weeks above 3000. I've noticed freight has become more regionalized, if that's a word. Most runs are between 300 and 600 miles, and concentrated pretty much east of 35
