I know 100% with Progressive you can have whatever value you want on it but they still will only pay what they deem it to be worth. However, if you insure it for less then what they deem it worth, then they will only pay out the amount you had listed.
I’m fairly certain most other trucking insurance are the same.
They like to have their cake, and eat it too.Dino soar, Rideandrepair and PE_T Thank this. -
Yes, this is Progressive that I was speaking about.
PE_T and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
UPDATE—
So my insurance went down about 3k with the deductibles at $2,500. Next year I will probably ask for a 5k deductible and possibly remove the comp and collision coverage for my truck as it won’t be worth much next year.Rideandrepair and Midwest Trucker Thank this. -

Hey yalll

1st year 20k
2nd year 27 with progressive because dot score but 17k with Canal. With alot more coverages.
Is canal worth it?
I have comp collision unlimited and 1k deductibles with non owned trailer interchange put on by new agent.
If I put 500 radius, high deductible and no comp collision and my paid for Reefer trailer I obtained this year instead of tk interchange.
My new policy would be probably like 12k for renewal now which is 15k difference just because progressive dot score policy smh hahaha.what a difference right?!?!? -
