I’m working a M-F local gig from 2:30 pm-11 pm so 8 hour gigs aren’t impossible. But they are rare in this industry.
D.Tibbitt and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
What company sir???

Doesn't matter what you heard about CTI; this company is not a lifetime commitment; it's a stepping stone to where you really want to go.
US Express has a program for free college tuition for the driver and his/her family.
CPM is not a scam unless that's all you're paid, then that's the drivers fault for agreeing to work under that pay structure.
Accessorial pays + CPM is the real deal. -
You will find that the freight requires you to be somewhere in a time frame that does not allow you to stop, park and go to college.
You have to choose. College or trucking. Not both at the same time.FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
Some LTL companies have very short runs. Might look into that.
Maybe check Indeed/Craiglist and look for linehaul or dedicated route. You might have to work for O/O or 1099 company. -
Guys applied at ABF last night. It's a teamsters. So bidding schedule???
What's their starting wage??Hourly or CPM???
Do they go by a scale progression??
