    Schneider is going all automatics.
Lots of choices; they do all types of trucking.

I have money been in Tech field for close to 30 years. I am 55 nobody will hire an old new field graduate and I don't have the time to start from scratch. I just need 5-10 years of semi-decent income. That is all. The funny thing is white collar jobs have no physical demand to them and yet agism is abundant. Trucking is far more physically demanding yet I get offers. Though for far less money. Once again I am begging you not to continue down this path. Private message me to discuss this further. I agree with you, this industry is full of crooks and is on its last leg.

I have a pre-employment offer from them. But they are mega-carrier. I want to avoid them. How about Maverick? What do you think of YRC or ABF? I really need to come up with a good company. Carmax is hiring like Crazy and they are local. I have also an application with McLane last week waiting to hear back from them. I got offers from all of these mega-carriers but I'd really like to avoid them.

    Maverick is ok.
Schneider is a mega, but has so many different divisions that operate separately.
YRC and ABF are ok for a quick pension and excellent medical benefits. Five years and you're vested for a pension. Dealing with Teamsters can be really difficult; everyone is paranoid.
I see ads all the time from Carmax, wanting car haulers. Hogan does their car hauling.

They are flatbed right? I think they came to school too. I was not impressed with them. Maybe I need to follow through with them. Swift and US Express were so dumb that I avoided them so far.

Prime, TMC I have pre-employment letters from. But They are really my last choice. I am leaning toward YRC or ABF but they won't talk to you until you have your CDL and have all your endorsements. I will contact them as soon as I get my CDL.
