I drive the full length of I-5 through Oregon at least once a week, sometimes twice a week. Yes the state has its fair share of bad car drivers, but they don't bother me nearly as much as the thousands of commercial drivers who pass through the state from Canada to California every day. For the most part, Canadians live up to their reputation, they're nice. But the immigrants from other parts of the world that move to Canada and decide to make a career of trucking are the absolute worst drivers on the road.

They tailgate like crazy, I mean even a school bus full of kids. Every single day I look in my mirrors and see some idiot 5 feet from my trailer and not wanting to pass me. I cruise along at 64-65 through the entire state, and when I get one on my rear bumper I drop down to 55 so they'll pass me, and then they drop down to 55 in front of me. Then you get the guys on a grade that are going a quarter mph faster than the other slow trucks with their 4 ways on and decides to hang out in the passing lane unable to pass anybody and blocks it for the rest of us. Don't get me started on the mess these same drivers leave in the bathrooms at truck stops.

I just read where they have too much weed grown there. They say Oregon is awash in pot, glutted with so much legal weed that if growing were to stop today, it could take more than six years by one estimate to smoke or eat it all. Prices are dropping and they are looking at cutting back growing permits and are even looking at ways to export their excess pot to California.

Maybe its cause they don't pull thier own gas... They need more exposure to the fumes to give them a boost... Lol

Yeah, They like to slow down when they pass a truck. Somehow spending as much time as possible next to a truck is a good idea. They also like to flash their bright lights at you to let you know they are doing something stupid.

California has the same problem. Current estimates are that there is 8 times more weed available than the entire state smokes or eats in a year. People who grow are looking for places to sell it, which is why you may have noticed an increase in car searches along the highways of other states. Legally what you grow for personal consumption can't be sold, but of course those who grow it think they have ways around that problem and try to smuggle it east. It's a dangerous game they're playing. People still go to prison for having large quantities, even is states where it's legal.

I flew into Portland back in October for a business transaction. When I went to gas up my rental car before returning it, I learned that it’s a $500 fine to pump your own gas. Apparently at least around Portland, full service gas stations are the law. Found that odd and kinda pathetic.

Leave it to California to screw up something as simple as selling weed.....
