Far as I know it's 19 everywhere and each shipper/receiver will direct you to another channel for their instructions.

Different local dump outfits and whatnot usually have some channel they stick to to stay off the beaten path.

9 is monitored someplaces by state troopers for distress calls.

The pleasure is mine. It's my only real contact with the outside world anyway :biggrin_2559:

I liked downshifting in school, always skipped two and revved 800. In real life though you won't downshift that much except to recover gears at lights or turns.

its 19 and 17 like you say but I find most guys stay on 17 regardless of travel direction if they are west of the 5

Like MM said, I-5 and all points west of there run on 17 regardless of direction. Everywhere else it's 19. I'm not certain of this, but I think this is only applicable north of the 210 freeway in SoCal, but holds true all the way up to the Canadian border.

I'm just curious why they switch out there like that.

    Oh wonderful...

So what type of hoops do they put you through when your insurance is supposedly cancelled? Man I'm like 2 weeks late and paid for months up front. WFT?? These guys are a real piece of work I"ll tell you.

Really this is BS. If they want to treat it like a utility they should bill you in the rears (as well as up the ###) like a utility.

I BOUGHT a one year policy. Put down 25% and the rest was kicked to a finance company. So do they just make up whatever they want for rules? It's not like anything else I've ever seen. I've been trucking for 5 weeks and paid 3 full months up front. Due on the 10th, "cancelled" on the 27th. That's messed up.

since when does anyone let you pay when you want? wish my mortgage co did.

just call then, they should reinstate the policy as long as they havent sent the refund check yet.

bigger problem is they have probably already reported it so that your authority may be suspended.
