I am trying to remember. I think it was OH or PA. Seems like I was heading up N/E.

I thought it was in the FMCSR, but have not found it yet. Somewhere I have read something about hard sole shoes. I will keep looking, but might be wrong about that.

That has nothing to do with wearing shoes, you dont have to have shoes on to effectively exit the cab.

I didn't say it did. It was all I found in a search of the item.

However, in the event of an emergency, it certainly would not be prudent to be sitting around and putting on boots, shoes or whatever.

    Just my opinion.

If you google it, you will find there are few states having laws requiring it.

I know many of the companies I have driven for have company policies concerning the wearing of the shoes and not driving barefoot.

I drive with boots and partner I'm just happy she keeps all 18 wheels on the ground. :biggrin_25525: Don't care what she has on her feet, if she is comfy it works for me.

Seat belts now this is interesting and maybe all the women out there have the same problem. It seems my partner is getting hung by the seat belt she slides the belt behing her. I'm being told if you have ##### you can't wear that contraption comfortably. :biggrin_25512:

You know I don't have ##### :biggrin_2554: so I can't say about what is right or wrong there.

When you drive 700 miles a night...whatever makes her comfortable is fine with me. Actually when I'm driving the same amount it all about comfort for me.

I don't know what DOT regs are and anymore I really don't care. As long as the logs look good who gives a flying rats arse. :biggrin_25525: We're driving to make $$ not really worried about what the so called "bible" has to say besides they change their mind way too much. :yes2557:

#1)Why even post it if it isn't relevant to the topic?
    #2) Again,relevancy ? shoes or no shoes isn't a viable
    factor.(prudent has been filed under,what if/whatevers)
#3)Policies are like locks, which keep honest people honest.
