Looking forward to my little trip coming up with the wife. That'll be similar to the view I'll have. Just waiting to get through this onboarding process, get a couple weeks in, then taking off to a cabin for a few days. Can't wait. Jealous of your current view.

I am very impressed with this thread .... so far 1,764,361 views :biggrin_2554:and currently on page 8467 and growing at constant fast speed... What is the "secret" for such a successful thread? The folks that post here? The subjects? Maybe a combination of both...?
And why is this thread titled "Where is Everyone #5"? Was there ever a #1 and 2 and 3 and 4?
Anyway... congratulations to you all for such a nice popular thread....:thumbright:

The GM can be embossed on the valve covers through to 79 (I think) and the part numbers are the same through to now although there are few 2 strokes built these days

No argument but it doesn’t change the fact that the name plate on those engines didn’t say Detroit Diesel. It said GM Diesel. At least my 6-71 does. Hence, I think most people identify Detroit Diesels as a Penske engines and GM Diesel as a pre Penske engines.

All I know is if he's an alpha I don't wanna belong to that club. Apparently trying to romance cattle is a requirement. I'll happily be a beta and stick with the hottie I married.
