    Not so easy to get a QC fixed now, is it??? Once again you spouted off without knowing all the facts. As you now know, unless you happen to be in a location where the QCs can be fixed or replaced and have enough time on the load or between your loads you're out of luck. (maybe you should pass that information along to the rest of the 'cheerleaders' like TLeaHeart) Like you my man likes to keep the wheels rolling, so it took 6 wks for us to be in the right place and the right time to get the QC taken care of. BTW, once everything came together, we spent about 20 min. at the repair site. The guy came out to the truck, disconnected our old QC, connected a new one and we were on our way. Hope things go as smoothly for you once you are able to get to a repair shop.

    Exactly, the most of the DM's are worthless. For me I had 3 different DM's within 2 months. WTF is that man, they just can't keep their DM's I guess. The reason I quit was cuz like you said, they sent me to Tyson on a Thursday and didn't get outta there til Monday. I got there and they gave me the BS that the load was cancelled. Then it took them all day to send me another load number and guess what, it was cancelled too. By that time the useless night dispatch was there and they were like umm you have to wait till next morning and talk to your DM. Okay now Friday comes around they gave me a new one again so i go check in AGAIN and they said it won't be ready til Saturday night. I was pretty ticked by then so I decided to call some other companies and started applying hahah. Now I wasn't surprised at all by this but when it was Saturday evening I went to check on the load guess what they told me. that was ########## cancelled too. On monday i called my DM and told him to get me back to Dallas. he gave me a load to the northeast instead. It was a measly 800 mile load, he told me to take it and will repower you on your way up there. After sitting for FOUR days and I only got a 800 mile load that pretty much did it for me and with my DM lying to me about the repower the next day basically made my decision to move on to somewhere else.

    My opinion with a company big as stevens, steve aaron doesn't care about his drivers. He makes plenty of money from the government running the trucking school. Plus with this screwed up lease program they have it's set up so that the driver have to train someone to rack up some miles. With you getting less than a dollar a mile and you have to pay the reefer fuel, tolls, etc. that is just not right.

    The company i'm with now is a lease purchase and after the end of lease the truck is yours vs. stevens where at the end of your lease you give them back your truck or renew your lease. Plus we don't have to pay our own reefer fuel, tolls, scales, etc. And best of all you hardly SIT. I'd be bringing home average $1250 wk.

    So what? Are you jealous that someone can make money and you can't?

    BS and blatant flat-out lie. You DON'T have to pay for a reefer fuel and you don't have to be a trainer to make good money! (even though it helps) ;)

    I average 3000 miles/wk (and I'm NOT and never will be a trainer) and I'm taking home $1500-1800/wk so you take your $1250/wk, frame it and hang it in your padded cell.

    I agree that we should be able to keep the truck after completion of the lease but we all knew the lease conditions beforehand and signed it anyway.

    Just out of curiosity... How many times a month did you have to sit for more than 20hrs at meatpatch? (or elsewhere)

    The reason I got the load assignment changed in route, was the previous driver did NOT do what he was told, and went in with full fuel tanks, and was over weight, and driving a pete which is about 500lbs more than a KW. And the shipper will not change the load to cut the weight. So stick that in your not knowing the truth.

    I have never paid for refer fuel, and I do not train, and I also make 3000 miles a week, and take home $1,100 per week after all expenses are paid, this includes my tax payments.

    There are QC shops all over the nation, especially in Ohio, along the turnpike, and a smart driver can schedule himself to be at one to get it fixed, instead of running for six weeks and blaming Stevens for your decision to not get it fixed.

    A smart person knows how to run a business, which is what you are doing when you sign a lease agreement, and does not blame Stevens for their bad decision making.

    You can call me a cheerleader all you want, for I make money with Stevens, I run the miles, I get home when I want to, and I am always on time for my deliveries. That is why i get treated the way I do, I make them money, so they make me money.

    Every company out there has drivers that are happy and drive for years and years...even swift, werner, jb hunt.....It is you attitude, and how you deal with the people, and the requirements of the life of being a trucker.

    Stevens has drivers that have 12 15 18 years with the company...yes they complaign, we all do at times, but that is life.

    I refused to do a repower last weekend in the northeast, I had an easy 1 drop load, and they wanted me to repower a 3 drop around boston. I said NO...and said NO 3 times. Then I got to set for 1 day waiting to pick up Ice Cream that had 600 miles on it with 2 days to get there. I took it, did not complaign to Stevens, and after delivering that load, did a repower out of Jessup MD, to Reno NV, 2600 4 1/2 days to get there. The other driver was unable to make it, because he will not drive more than 9 hours per day.

    If you are unhappy at stevens, which you are by your attitude here, then find another company, that better fits what you want. they all have problems.

    I see you have been driving for 1 year. I know a lot of former drivers for stevens that said after you are there a couple years they try to run you off. Cheaper to pay the newbies.

    That may be valid argument with company drivers but alliance drivers don't get raises. Well they do in fact they'll get 1 penny/mile more after 3 years if I remember correctly. So not that much of a difference for Stevens.

    Did we loose fuel bonuses on co side i think we did cuz they said they were haveing a drawing and thats prob what they are going to do now just drawings gee youd think they wouldnt need to theyve done over 300 million dollars in sales:biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510:

    First of all nope I have nothing against steve aaron. Just a fact he doesn't take care of his drivers. Maybe your one of the lucky ones. Well we'll see after you stay there more than a year

    Second I'm not lying. Back in 04 they pay for the first fillup on the reefer. After that you'll need to pay for yourself. Maybe they changed it after they lost too many drivers. Also they make you 30% of the tolls also back then.

    so how much they pay alliance drivers a mile now? Post several of your settlements on here to prove you make 1500 - 1800 week.

    Last we never have to sit at a #### tyson meatpatch like stevens trks do. Especially the amarillo tyson.
