So I've finally found an engine shop that can do everything I need done on my 3406 block/head and polish my crank and cam. Best part is they are located only an hour away from where the truck sits. Just need to find a fuel injection shop now to do some pump repairs and flow time it.
Where is everyone #5

Thats getting very limited choices anymore. And you guys with OS have less choices. Kinda forced. -

So we are having a friend of the wifes over with her 5 kids and husband. Now they are good people. But the wife is weird and gives me the No feeling, the husband you can not have a conversation with, it don't flow with that one. I'd like to spank 4 of the 5 kids. Hate my kid being around them.
Guess we are gonna keep working on projects and start drinking beer early today. -
Are you sure they didn't take boths hands off the wheel and tell you, your #11! -
I had to leave.
In our line of work, the overwhelming majority are men. There are a few women. Carl and I had a mutual friend called Mean Jean. Good driver. She was the exception. Every other one I ran into tried to play the damsel in distress card when it came time to secure their loads or tarp.
Or they were dime droppers. I told a story of running some OSOW stretch loads from RoanokeVA to Las Vegas. There were 3 drivers, one woman. Her load shifted, the 2 guys pulled her load back straight and they were running down the big road together.
I ran into all 3 at that W Memphis scale. I had one truck catch up at KingmanAZ, asked about the other two and he tells me that the woman dropped a dime on him for convoying. And she was the 3rd truck.
So we get staged up in Vegas and we had to drop the trailers and bobtail away. She asked me and the driver she dimes where we were heading. What would you say? I didn’t say a word.
Had a woman on a crane move. 1000 mile run, took a track. Loaded on Tuesday had to deliver before Friday, legal load. Dispatcher started riding her for being 400 miles out on Thursday. She gets pissed, and decides to detour and spend the weekend with the grand children. Screwed over 25 drivers and pissed off a customer.
I wrote that piece in the heavy haul section warning drivers about becoming romantically involved with female pilot cars for a reason. I’ve seen many a driver end up in trouble, particularly on the big construction projects where you have to run a pilot car for months. I didn’t say that all female pilot cars were bad, but MANY were.
But, if that’s ‘women bashing’ in your opinion, you too can ignore me. No hard feelings.
