I'm betting I saw at least 30 statie cars today from the PA line to North Canton, no exaggeration. That's only a 70 mile stretch btw. And I'm curious... if your pops lives in Cville, why wouldn't you use his address instead of PA?

I was set to attend Cartersville and use his address on Shotgun Rd 5 minutes from the yard there... then a divorce came along and had to sell the house. He just bought a house around Gadsen Alabama, his last day at his Cartersville house happens to be my last day at my job, July 12th is a big day lol

Gotcha. Big day for me as well. As long as things go as they should, that'll be my last day at Landstar.

Good luck with your next gig. This Friday is my last day at the plasma shop I've been at since June of 2003. I wonder if I'll have someone to train on Monday, their new guy crapped out on them last week. They're saying "nobody wants to work!" No, nobody wants to work for what you're paying lol

Or nobody qualified that can pass a drug test. That seems to be the new trend in staffing woes.

Really sorry to hear about that :( Hope he's ok. Going through that was the worst pain I've ever experienced. Well, maybe. The tattoo on my head might have been worse.

Here's a great example of crap I won't miss here. Delivering in St Louis on Monday morning. Grabbed another load going back to Ohio. Listed as carrots. I can carry produce on short hauls if I have a vented trailer, and I do. I looked at the load later and it will most obviously be potatoes. I only know that is because of the consignee. There were no other clues. If you aren't local to this area, you'd never even know. Christ on the cross, man. Anyone who has ever hauled a bulk potato load in a dry van can attest to the nastiness of those loads. F that broker. He's an in-house Landstar guy and I'm friggin sick to death of being lied to by these people on loads. Cancelled that crap immediately and hunting for a new load that keeps me close to home. So sick of these jerk offs. And by the way if you ever saw how this #### was loaded and unloaded you'd never eat another potato chip or French fry again. I sure as hell won't.

I ended up keeping that load because the broker was singing the blues and I was apparently in a good mood this morning despite my lack of sleep. I am hoping like hell that they aren't going to use an extractor to get them out, because that's gonna be an ungodly mess inside my trailer. I don't see tip docks on their property. So hopefully I'm dropping my trailer and they have a truck that lifts the trailer on the front end so they just roll out. I'm not getting my hopes up. They'll probably have an extractor and then I'll have to go get a trailer washout. Broker assured me that it'll get covered by Landstar. Dam well better be. A washout for a mess like that will be expensive.
