Same costs borne by an O/O leased onto a company. Not my problem how YOU manage to finance your life.

    Evidently, not that successful!

If it's so basic, just how did you get stupid enough to sign on in a (in your words...) "cheap frieght rates, very low freight volumes, and all the costs borne by the L/O" environment?

    Including yourself?

So you couldn't manage to average $500 a week, eh? Probably why you had to sell the Peterbilt too.

First, leasing is a business opportunity. YOU need to do the due diligence to determine whether it makes sense for you and your finances. If you don't, then don't be blaming me, the company I work for (yes I work for Prime... I don't lease) or Santa Claus. Blame the person responsible for your mess... YOURSELF!

Second, since when did the state one hales from have anything to do with one's intellegence?

Third, I know plenty of lease ops who manage to bring home MORE than a grand a week, average.

Fourth, if driving is just a series of "crappy truck jobs" - why o why did you ever get involved? Perhaps you should go southern fry yourself at a fast-food job, and reach the acme of your self development! Perhaps they forgot to supersize your lease?

But then a $500.00 / Month PETE must of been 1 HECK of a piece of junk or it was back in the mid 70's when he owned it.

I wish I knew where I could get my hands on one of these "agreements". I'd like to see if there are any loopholes in them. My friend practices business law. I'd be willing to bet he'd find something to "misinterperet". Prime. US Express. England. TMC. Who/whatever. He says he'd need the entirety of the paperwork involved. Any takers?

Prime has been sued a couple of times... At least once by OOIDA... and OOIDA ended up having to pay over a half million dollars of Prime's lawyer bills.

Your buddy wont find anything that at least a dozen if not over a hundred diffrent lawyers may have over looked.

You know this, for sure? Or, have you just heard this? Do you know my friend? Fifty cents, and a bunch of "hear-say" might get you a cup of coffee. Or, a bad lease deal, if you will. Send me a copy. We'll see. Is it not worth a shot? Or, do you work for one of these outfits? Just curious.

Federal law requires that everything is disclosed on the written lease... no hidden clauses, charges, etc. Go to Prime's website... I believe they have a sample lease in PDF format available for downloading, although I can't be absolutely sure. I remember seeing the link, but have never followed it, since I'm not in the market for a lease!
