    So true all this electronics blows and whistles cost in the end to us , not manufacturers, I still remember how in shock I was when I came to US back in 2008 how dirt cheap cars was,you could buy brand new Corolla for 15 000, now it's 20 000

    Thats why earlier i asked whats the intrest? Somethings off. Still don't even think a person could finance 120 months. 60 or less would be my guess. Also mayby someone knows..how many years can you take for depreciation? On a new truck.

    New I'm pretty sure you can depreciate for 5 years, I know a new trailer you can.

    Man guys I won’t lie I would love to sit down and just to a guy that has done so well for him self or couple that can afford a big beautiful Pete with a 168 inch ari sleeper. I say this because if they are able to afford something like then they have done great for them selves and they deserve a pat on the back and at a boy

    Thanks all for the comments. I guess 1nicevette makes the most sense, these aren't for struggling Joe container hauler. Of the dozens of trucking jobs I had, only 1 or 2 had Pete's( tells you the kind of places I drove for) Someone does well enough to afford these, relatively speaking, it's never been any different. Years ago, you could tell the good companies from the bad, just by their equipment. I guess, to a certain extent, the same would be true today. If you think about it, if Peterbilt sells a couple a week, and I'm sure they do, that's almost 3 million a month. I suppose the doors could stay open.

    “Semi” retired
    There is still a lot of people who love this industry even with all the bad. I’m one of them. The freedom is still there and I really in joy a lot of these threads have a great day

    Oh, I know, remember, I spent over 35 years in this industry. That's a long time to do something, safely, and I'm proud of it. Would I pay $200g's for a truck today? Of course not, my 1st truck cost 1/10th of that, but I didn't haul Hollywood props either, about the only industry that could possibly afford these things. I just couldn't make the transition from "old trucker" to "new trucker". and bailed, but make no mistake, nothing quite like "grabbing gears and checking ladies rears". I was a scoundrel and an outlaw, generally not accepted today, still, I have no regrets. If I had the chance, I'd do it all over again,,,with a few adjustments,,:thumbup:

    Farmers pay $200,000 plus for combines and harvesters everyday. Mechanics will pay from $5,000 to $10,000 for a tool chest. It is all relative to what you need, want and can afford to do the job.
