Thanks MM, Winchester, and 5mouths2feed. I will call the dealer tomorrow morning and find out what exactly it has. I have noticed that doing around 65, it is at 1350rpm. I will pay more attention to it and get exact numbers tomorrow.
Hopefully I will get my first load in that thing tomorrow. Computers were haywire today so no load.

Side question, anyone ever deal with the durabright rims. This truck has them but they are scratched up in a few places like someone took steel wool to them. Can they be fixed or stripped down and then polish like normal?

    Thanks again

    Say,
I was gonna ask... What is a "bird banger"?
I am assuming it is the goofy extension type thing that sits on top of the sleeper, or a big fancy wing.
I was thinking aboutr one of those taylor wings but have n=been told they do not do much good since I only pull reefer and that is allready more efficent than a dry van.
    Whatcha think?

Bird banger is my slang term for the aero piece from the factory that sits on top of the sleeper. For the life of me I can't recall the proper name. Aero shield?

1350 at 65mph. Should be perfect runnin' 70

durabrights suck. they go dull in no time at all. most people are getting a set replaced under warrenty and then when they go bad they just get a set of regular polished wheels from them.
You can't sand it off, it's impregnated like 1/4" into the aluminum... or so they say

Based on your info of 3.70, 24.5 lp's, and 1350 at 65mph I calculate that you have a final drive of .73 in 10th. I'd say the only thing you need to change is take her in to have reconstructive surgery to have her nads re-attached. Bump That Kitty Up!!!! And you'll be fine with what you have.

    wade Thanks this.

    68 mph, or 1425 rpms......kitty's like that...lol

other than a power up-rate, and my extreme hatred of 10 spds....should be an ok truck for pulling a van.......WB will be too short for flats as the trailer will get into the bangboard

id expect 5.5 to 6.3 mph (just a guess)

Bird Banger is perfect. Hubby hit one last week while I was in the back fixing lunch. Needless to say I ducked! LOL:biggrin_25524:

Well then, thats good news. I will schedule an outpatient appointment and get some surgery. Since I've been married for 9 years, I guess I can donate mine; my boss makes all the decisions anyways. lol

I saw a bad omen though from MM. It looks like the SN is starting with a MBN number. Another tag on the pass side says max HP is 525. I will know for sure after I get the specifics.
