Maybe. Don’t know about a tank so if someone said tanks should have disks I would have no comment except to ask how we managed all these years. Maybe global warming has changed the viscosity of liquids. Again I have no experience so I could not speculate.

Everyone is talking about stopping faster. Havent seen anyone mention the fact that there is less chance of brake fade with disk brakes right? Just like engine brakes/retarders/Jake brakes(whatever ur truck has) it was and is new tech to assist in making the job just a little easier. And idk about the rest of yall but making my job a little easier(either less to have issue with or less to worry about going wrong, or whatever it may be) with all the morons out here on the road, I enjoy my job being just a bit easier.
Also, after driving a truck with disk brakes for a while now, i have to say that i really enjoy how quiet the braking is EVERY time unlike when using drums. But that's just me.

Seriously give me one reason why Anyone (other than the tanker driver who has been screwed by global warming) should pay more for disks? So they can drive faster. So they can follow closer? So they can use a higher gear and go faster down a grade?

Did they change the force of gravity?
Don’t need them either. Actually I think there should be a mountain endorsement that includes descending without a jake.
The less you worry about something going wrong, the more likely something will go wrong.
Making the job easier is the exact thing that allows the morons to be on the road.

By all means let’s do everything we can to make the 80,000 lb missle easier for morons to drive. Great idea

Brake Drums when warmed up Grow bigger resulting in Brake fade..
    Having said that,Though....
There's far more Braking/Friction area with Drum Brakes. Get set of Disk Pads & put them Beside a pair of Drum Brake Shoes, & compare...

There's being a big Swing back to Drum Brakes down Here in Australia..

I get the concept. Slow the F down, pay attention and don’t heat your drums. It really is that simple. Has been for what......75 years?

Do trailers use slotted and cross drilled brakes like high performance cars? If not how come? Every gear head knows discs that are slotted cross drilled are way better then the crappy stock ones.

Good idea. At least that way I won’t have to worry about a rookie Cuban that’s never been out of Texas driving 85 mph down Vail using his cross drilled rotors and ceramic pads trying out brake me with his ABS system going into the hard left at the bottom with an inch of snow snow and ice on the road in rush hour traffic.
