    You can get a more accurate tire rev per mile by going to the manufacturer's website. I have a Dixon Ametek speedo book if you think it might help. I will just need to find it. I reset my KW speedometer a couple months back.

    Update;
    I set the Dip Switches using the formula for my application. On a previous thread I had mention I had set the ppm on the ECM and my speedo was still off about 3 to 4 mph. I tried several times and even guess at it and was still off so I gave up. Few members mention the dip switches but I was done.
    Over the weekend this thread got started and with the help of the few, I decided to play with formula for the dip switches, I got it on the money so far. My gps and a couple of other apps I use show my speedo right on the money. I only drive about a mile but was good.
    Thanks for helping out @NorthernMechanic, @mtoo and @beltrans from the previous thread. Now it's your turn @prerunner404 to get yours going.

    Just did this on my KW, Ametek(the gauge supplier) has a formula. One thing I'd like to point out is that the sip switch settings differed from the OE gauge to the replacement gauge I bought from Ametek. Identical gauge, different settings.

    Not sure if Pete makes their own gauges.

    BTW, I need to do this on my 91 Pete 378 with 3.90 rears and 24.5's. Speed reads exactly 10 slow....Where's that formula?

    Diesel Dave Thanks this.

    This is true, the Ametek had different settings compare to the link I use from @beltrans, I posted two links that I copied and pasted on the beginning of this thread. With the help I got I came out using frequency 565, both those links had different dip settings. I believe one said 3 inch and the other 5 inch gauge instrument. Actually between both links I figured it out and just rolled the dice. I figured if one didn't work, the other would. But I hit it on the first try.
    The formula is in the beginning of this thread.

    Take a look and see what dip switches are in the closed position now (write the positions down) now find where your at on the cheats (post #37 and #42). Now just go up or down the Hz chart about 5 positions, take a trip and see where your at. If it's not closer to accurate then go the other direction.

    FYI that cheat sheet is Old School, I used it on Petes that had mechanical cats in them. The newest truck I used it on was a 96 Pete with a mechanical cat. Remember old school and it must be the 80 mph speedo.

    Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I had lost my copy and didn't remember I had shared it in this thread
