Makes all the difference. Workers comp is if you’re injured because of your work duties, not because you decided to pull a bender and wreck a company vehicle.

You can’t go to work, jump out your truck window on video, land on your head and get workers comp.
Not how it works.
I’ve won several and lost several claims with workers comp when I owned my businesses. -

YRC Holland in Raleigh has a driver training program. Usually require one yr. experience, but sometimes will train a driver and help him get a cdl.
Union outfit with good benefits.
Not always openings available, but worth checking into.

FedEx Freight has "Driver Apprentice Program" and hires with a CDL-A Permit.
