i went to jb hunt after months of them calling me. i went to arkansas for orientation for 3 days. before i left i asked *everything checks out?* yes they said come on. went there the 1st day took drug test and road test. Ok 2nd day sitting around doing nothing watching a few movies. 3rd day ok the mess started. we need to call 2 more companies ok. then they gave me another road test in a van. passed. then they called another company and started asking questions. all of the sudden i have too many tickets. they could have told me that before i wasted really 5 days of my life 1 day to get there 3 days there and 1 day to get back. this company is full of it. i think they are just doing this for a tax right off. i could have been trying to get hired somewhere else.

DO NOT GO TO J. B. HUNT!!! WORST MISTAKE EVER!!!

jb is bad but zack has a point. I worked for them 1 year and i saw that in orientation. But those people lied in the begining or failed for medical reasons. Hell i got tickets and a crimanal record and they took me. I was just honest up front with them. They are still a bad company but put the blame where it belongs.

I have been there in nj ,they pass guys that can't back a trailer at all and even after backing into a trailer they still passed.i have never seen an orientation like this in my life. I would not doubt that they take people knowing they are gonna flunk,it makes a good driver laugh,,you just watched a guy screw his roadtest up completely and they tell him, congratulations you made it. They told me the same thing, after nearly 40 years you could test them yourself. I too think when half the class drops out they take tax writeoffs, then it makes the other drivers look up at jB as a better company than it is,.You asked on another post when I went to orientation,it was in 05 but not sure of the date,I'll let you know later.

Just another way of cutting the class down. Everyone does that...maybe not on the same scale or the same way but generally the same. I remember the people that got cut to start with didn't pass the drug test, couldn't pass the stress test, couldn't pass the driving test, lied on the application, incorrect information on the application, just stupid things like that. So I went from a class of 30 to a class of 10 in the three days.

I would have them put it in writing before I would believe them. They are famous for telling drivers that and when it comes time to drive for them they will come up with an excuse why there is no dedicated run available or the money is way lower than quote. By the way are those figures before or after taxes?
