Alright so first things first...i know how to idle...BUT I have a 14 freightliner cascadia...the only thing is...i dont have that box (cant remember the name..long day) in my sleeper that you usually press when idling...every tractor Ive drove has had one...but this one does not...so does anyone know how to idle?? From what i know...you have to have that to idle. I mean is there even a way to idle?? Can it even idle?? Its wayyy to hot to not have some air flow going on!!

Drop the landing gear on the trailer, release the tractor brakes, and go to sleep. Releasing the parking brake should bypass all that anti-idle nonsense
Cattleman84 and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
Modern trucks are highly computerized. If they program them to shut down you won't beat it.
If you drive for a company that won't let you idle or put an APU on the truck for climate control they that company is truly evil and doesn't care about your well being.
Trucker327, you've posted this in the owner operator forum, so is this your truck? If so, take it to Freightliner and have it the shutdown turned off in the programming.bzinger, Trucker327, DTP and 1 other person Thank this. -
DTP, mhyn and FlaSwampRat Thank this.
