So your already familiar with chaining and securing any load, no matter what it is or how valuable it is?
The issue is not heavy haulers telling you to go flatbedding first, they are simply making a recommendation to try and help you..... flatbedding and heavy haul are by no means anything like door slamming. You can have all the knowledge in the world of the business end, and when you dump that load or rip a sign post out things have a different view. I’m sure that is simply what is being recommended by @TripleSix and others. Stay safe out there.cke, PoleCrusher, Feedman and 4 others Thank this. -
@TripleSix , I am not sure that this thread is going where you intended but it is and hopefully will continue to be great thread!

On that note, I had a female friend tell me that her 20yr old son tested positive for HIV. I’m old school, and so in my mind, that’s a death sentence. Also in my mind is the fact that he’s gay and shares needles. I am trying to figure out what it is that I’m supposed to say.cke, PoleCrusher and Feedman Thank this. -
It's not the death sentence that it was, but DANG. It's not 1980 anymore, it's bloody been four decades...if you get the HIV in this day and age, all I can say is you're pretty dang stupid.

Putting in my 2 cents for someone looking at heavy haul. Patience, follow through, research and a 6th sence of anticipation of other drivers around you. Drive your truck at your comfort level. When in doubt, check it out. And never 2nd guess yourself, either know what you are doing or dont do it. Thats all.
