The outside unit is what needs flushed. Just like a car/truck radiator. Kill the power and take the cover off. Flush it inside to out with some low psi water and some soap helps. I am will to bet it will bring your inside temp down 5° or more if it's been awhile.

Yep, now maybe others have better ideas than me. But I kill the electric, pull the top, spray the coils with simple green. Let it soak a bit and gently use a hose and spray the coil from the inside out. Never hurts to double check that voltage is off. It's 220 and your using a hose. Before you get it wet you can suck the junk out of the bottom with shop vac.
Man I miss the grubster that could take this the wrong way and get it removed for servicing a A/C unit. -
Cobbler by itself I can pass. Ice cream by itself I can pass. However together is my kryptonite. I dont come to the petro for the chrome but for the cobbler and ice cream. Its guaranteed 365 days a year. Yall don't tell my wife she doesn't know bout the petro.
