I always creeped across those bridges, speed is what kills them.
11,400 fine, he will just have to overload a little heavier a few times to make it up. lolMartinFromBC, mjd4277, Intothesunset and 1 other person Thank this. -
If there was a bridge we couldn't cross we had to go all the way around the section and dump up to the bridge .

What sucks when something like this happens, is when it is THE road to where you live, which happened to me a few years ago.lol
I have taken some serious, even overweight heavy equipment across 6 and 8 ton marked bridges. Usually they were real short, and I looked under them before crossing.
I was moving a tractor from field to field up by charleston kansas, and came up on a 6 ton bridge on a dirt road, This was on a dirt road 100 yards or so before it crossed the highway. I was not worried about the bridge, but the dot had several cars parked on the dirt road, stopping and inspecting trucks on the highway. lol
I totally lucked out,it was just before lunch and I eased across and up behind their cars, they were all taking their coveralls off and going to lunch. I had to wait just a minute then followed them out of there. lolMartinFromBC, Lepton1, bzinger and 2 others Thank this. -
Those old plank bridges ...maintained ....are incredibly tough .
Iowas rural county rock roads are loaded with them .
