I am interested in learning more about trucking so please don't bash me!
But, according to my calculations, this trip of 948 miles paid $1090 and cost you 111 gallons of juice. At $2.35 gallon, that is $261 for fuel. So, after you paid for fuel you had $829 left.
At an average MPH of 48, it took 23 hours to complete. So you made $36 per hour.
$36 per hour is pretty good. Now I know you have overhead costs that take away from that and that is what I am trying to undertsand further. Again, you are the professional and I don't question how profitable this was. I just want to understand the overhead cost structure a little better.
What CPM do you calculate for repairs? insurance? cost of the truck?
Thanks -
Nope not even close

I think you did pretty freaking good!!!

You don't have $829 left unless you don't take into account your ins.,truck payment if you have one, maint, set aside for taxes, plates and permits,ifta...etc.

9.8mpg? Anyway lets see round it off to 1000 miles total for simple math. That would give u $1150 # 1.15 at 5.5mpg you would use 182 gallons x 2.25 per gallon gives u about $410 for fuel 1150-410= 740- 10cpm for the truck upkeep 740-100= $640 I guess u might make it on that as long as your driving. My opinion is that 1.15 is on the low side of surviving but I will not say I have never ran for that or that I wont be forced too again. If your really getting 9.8mpg then u should be ok. I cant comment on your insurance cost without knowing how many miles u run a week mine runs around $125 a week but your pm cost on insurance and tag vary depending on how many miles u run.
