i could see the hhg pay years ago but with all the programs available today the miles should be paid actual as you know thats what the companys are charging the customers for

I didn't know we had so many law degrees on this post... I wouldn't be so sure about this case being dismissed. Just look at everything that Obama has done in the short time he has been in office. This is just another instance where some of the unfair practices of these trucking companies are eventually going to catch up with them. They get away with stuff that other industries wouldn't dare try. The Hubris of these companies just astounds me. I have a feeling that there are quite a few lawsuits that these companies lose but keep quiet. I had a lawyer sicked on Schneider National and they caved in quietly...just like they all do.

I agree 112racing. It's really easy to find the actual miles. The companies don't want to pay them because they don't have to. Saves them money. Too bad it's our money.

IMO It should be a law to pay hub miles.
You don't go to your 9 to 5 and work a 10 hour day for them to say "Well you worked 10 hours, but it only should've taken you 8 to get it done.. So we're just going to pay you for 8 hours instead of 10."
It's the same principle, and hopefully actions like this will wake the government up to what's been going on.. Just because something has been happening for years doesn't make it right.scottied67 Thanks this. -
I get paid practical miles/pref interstate at W/S which is actually real close to accurate. Last yr was 2% off,not bad.

CFI carefully explains how they pay their drivers, during orientation. It amounted to squat once a Judge reviewed the case.
A Judge will review how the customers are charged, and how the drivers are actually paid. And he won't simply take their word for it. Every detail of driver pay will be gone over with a microscope. He will also see how it relates to how the company charges their customer base.
CFI drivers were terminated due to "fuel economy" issues. When the dust settled, they owed these drivers 1000's of dollars. And were forced to reinstate them. The vast majority of them, went to work for another company. And I don't blame them.
As a side note....the "offending" practice remained in place. Even after a Judge ruled on the case.
And based on that evidence alone. 95% of all company drivers are happy getting screwed by their employer...as long as they don't get labeled as a whiner.Remrie Thanks this.
