Just read one of your posts. You said the guy that held you up was also from eclipse. Kinda adding insult to injury.

It was meat and bonemeal pork, says they loaded it hot, and was humid the whole way down from Iowa.

I've heard that about bean meal if it's loaded hot.

The harvesters in Alden are good folks, 2 brothers and their families, actually. I worked for them back right after I got my CDL when I was 21. Knew how to shift and not a lot more, but if you work hard for them, they are patient with you. They ran 7 combines when I was there, now according to their website they're at 10.

You guys are making me realize how good I've got it hauling into the same places all the time, knowing the hours by heart and knowing a lot of people that work at them.

Sorry to hear about your weekend, Pharm. Sometimes I think people slack on the phone just because you can't reach over the counter and punch them. I always seem to get star treatment wherever I go (except government offices) but on the phone, I hardly get #### done!

I think I would get in weekly fights if I was OTR. I'd find it irresistible to lay someone out that thought it funny to give me the time 4 hours in the wrong direction.

Also poultry meal and distillers grain . I was one of 3 loads of poultry meal at Doanes in Washington Court House OH one day . All 3 loads came out of Cumming , GA . My load took 4 hours to get offf with the other 2 drivers and Doanes employees helping . The second driver got his off in 2 hours . The third driver took 5 hours .
I used to deliver meat and bone meal to Perdue in Livermore , KY 10 miles from our shop . I had a load of mbm to be delivered Labor Day one year . The boss offered to do it but I took it . I knew local soy bean farmers would be in there so I waited until 10 a.m. so I wouldn't hold them up . Well they decided to sleep late and pulled in behind me . Another driver ahead of me had mbm and took 2 hours to get it off . Perdue has a big pit . You can unload both hoppers at once . My load was set up hard . I had both traps open . Hammering did nothing . I started rodding the rear hopper and an hour later just about had it when the soy farmers came in and beat the hell out of the front hopper ( but on the rails , not hurting anything ) and it came loose .

Wichita is a little closer than OKC from where i'm at. I'm familiar with the Cat dealer ("Foley's") there. It's on West Street. The company I used to drive for had a "dirt crew" made up of 2 or 3 dozers, track hoes, rubber tired back hoes, graders, etc. that did excavation and road construction jobs and what not for the Conoco Phillips refinery in Ponca City, aside from the fleet of 40 or so end dumps that hauled petroleum coke to the Port of Catoosa in Tulsa. From time to time they would have me unhook from my end dump and take a piece of equipment up there to Foley's to get worked on. They had a tri-axle lowboy with one of those detachable goosenecks that I would use. I never thought about going to them for an oil sample. Would an ol' boy have to go to a Cummins dealer if the oil sample was coming out of an N14 engine, or would Cat do it as well? Thanks. Larry

LDH, Google Blackstone laboritories. They send free collection containers and instructions. They charge $22.50 for the analysis. Some are cheaper but charge up front. With a free collection kit if something happens to it your not out anything. Also you can get several and keep them with you so you can collect your sample anytime. They keep a record of your analysis that you can view online and give details of what the report is telling you. $22.50 every 10k miles could save thousands on repairs caught before they become catastrophic. Not only can you have engine oil analized but you can have your tranny and rears checked too.
