Be glad y'all got bugs. While bad for plants is never good at least you don't have iguanas, lionfish, and pythons taking over lol. When I was up there a few years ago I remember the stink bugs, they still a pest up there?

I know. I was just "goofin' around".

I have a sticker on my truck now. I had to read the pamphlet the TM gave me, and sign a paper saying I'm aware of the requirements.

The pamphlet did mention live bugs and egg masses being the focus of the exercise.

Risk factors are equipment "parked under trees", and equipment that remains "parked and unattended for extended time periods."

So who is the greater threat?

Myself and my truck, going straight through on I-90 from the Ohio border to the NY border......

Or George and Mabel's Airstream parked under the trees, in the backyard of their infestation zone home, who suddenly decide to hitch up the Silver Goddess to the Buick and head up to the Poconos....or the Jersey Shore......or Grand Lake Saint Mary's in Ohio?

And THEY don't need to have a permit, nor are they subject to a hefty fine for not having one.

    Oh well......

Iguanas and pythons are big enough for target practice.

The snakehead frankenfish thing that showed up here at least is edible.

at crst they didn't tell us #### about the permit book. A nice dot lady told my co driver and I about them. She even said she could of done a inspection right there but was nice enough to not do that

That's probably why as part of an "inspection" they are to quiz the driver on his knowledge of the SLF and his responsibilities for inspection and eradication. Have wondered from day one how they will quiz the non-English speaking driver, or will they just get a pass as usual?

The company official that took the course and is therefore responsible for training you, should have told you don't have to inspect if you don't stop .....load/unload etc. But yes, everyone should have have to pass the test to renew their plates.

Yeah, I'm aware of the requirements, and that I can even stop for fuel without inspection.

The point I was trying to make was that four wheelers outnumber truckers; the four wheelers are more likely to be towing equipment that has been "parked and unattended", and that they are exempted, yet again, from another government cash grab.

    Big surprise......
