Sounds to me like you need to haul more weight, hold them tires down a little better. I have Michelins on my truck that have around 50k miles on them and they aren't a quarter wore down yet.

Had a similar situation on a low tire that I did not catch. Did same thing and mine was 70 PSI.

Nope, there usually is a mechanical problem when you start getting irregular tire wear. Your friend is simply using a method where you don’t fix the problem, but just continue buying tires. The other thing is that once the tire problem is resolved, now the tire is deformed and probably cannot be corrected.

Lower the PSI to 100-105; inspect/replace shocks and torque rods (yourself/YouTube); get an alignment; rotate tires and put on Centramatic discs (balancing); and next time get some Goodyear tires at an official location. I have Goodyears on my drives. They’re very good tires and much better than the General Tire brand that I used to have.

Keep the tires until the tread is at 2/32nds.

PE_Trans thanks for all your help bro, truly appreciate it bro from the heart, so you would change the Torque rod and check the shocks? And rotate the tires? And get a alignment? Would the tires wear out faster now that it has patches missing or you think I could still get a good normal life out of those, the tread is still pretty good honestly other then patches it seems like it got it’s still pretty deep. Or is it basically junk now ?

You're destroying a set of some of the best tires there is to buy, there's something not right and I'd bring it to a shop that knows what they're doing and see what they say. I dont think it's over inflation doing that, what for a truck is this on?

Well I would love to save the tires, that I paid 550 for each but no one can seem to find the problem

    Are these still savable ?

Inspect both shocks and torque rods to know if they need replacement. Watch several YouTube videos to learn how to inspect and remove them if necessary. I’ve heard you want an alignment every 100k miles or so. When you rotate the tires ask them if they have Centramatic discs. Get some also for your steers. These discs balance the wheels as you roll down the road. I’d continue using the tires. They’ll probably be fine.
