I have a guy who has approached me to invest in his company. He claims to have created a fuel additive system that can double a semi trucks MPG.

I am skeptical. Has anyone here ever used a fuel additive system that actually improved MPG? If so by how much?

I see no way to double the fuel mileage unless trucks were built like a train with Diesel engine that just powers the electric engine. This will never happen though.

I'd trade him some of my pictures of bigfoot for a percentage of that one.

    Nope.

Trucks got 5 mpg 40 years ago and they are approaching 7 today. He's generations too late. /snarky.

I have run various Opti-lube products in my fuel tank and can’t say I notice a whole ton of performance change. Now the fuel itself from different locations and vendors can vary the performance of the engine pretty #### wildly. (Smoke/MPG/EGT/power/etc)

Check out Pittsburgh Power, they jave a Fuel Born Catalyst that works fantastic. I have been using it for about 2 months now and I'm up a minimum of half mile to a gallon. It also cuts the soot way down. I wil say that if you don't track fuel mileage don't bother. Most don't have a good 30, 60, 90 day average so how do you it's working. Give it try, the cost comes out to about $2.00 an oz. I personally have doubled my ROI using it.
