Definately. I've been with stevens for a year and they LOVE to send u out to the northeast. Especially NYC. It really aint that bad if u go in at night when traffic has died down. But coming outta there u'll definately be fighting with traffic. Just gotta be patient. You'll have 4 wheelers cutting in front of u in every direction and trying to squeeze in front of u before an exit ramp at the very last minute. Other than that its all good![]()

It really depends on ur trainer. If after the first few days he cansee that u candrive normally he/she will go back and sleep.
So ur already training somewhere else now? Y would u wanna come to stevens after that then. They are more known for a training company. If u got ur training somewhere else y not marten transport. They at least pay u double what u will be starting at stevens. -

Hi Fozzy,
Thanks for the tread I just read the whole thing. I am glad you did this I am trying to make my mind up between Stevens or Central this has been a great help. I was wandering I thought I was told you got to bring the truck home can you ask your trainer if this is a true statement.
Good luck out there, I look foward to hearing more from you. -
U can if u can show them a safe place to park it. They prefer u don't though especially company trks.
Bowhuntrr Thanks this. -
I'll let you know about the Jake and CC when I get there. I have heard contradictory answers, so I will let you all know when I find out for sure. I have been told you can usually leave truck/trailer at a Kenworth or Thermo King dealer if you have one local, or if you can find a secure location and get it approved.
Picked up a load of candy in NJ and we are running it to Waco for delivery on the 12. This is some serious weight. We scaled out and decided not to get fuel until TN as we were overweight on our steers by about 60 lbs. with 5/8 in the tanks. I'm sitting in the sleeper as we are rolling down I-81.Bowhuntrr and primexample Thank this. -

Since this seem like a good place to ask a Stevens question can someone tell me if Stevens is a good place to go to school? Are they a approved school and do you get a diploma? They are right down the street from my house and I want to get my CDL and just not sure if I want to go OTR or local, just wanted to make sure It's a approved school. Thanks

What was yall's gross??? Most of yall don't know this but as long as ur under gross the steers can be 20000 in most states.

Yea they have a pretty good school. But if u take their school u'll have to dedicate a year of working for them. Or otherwise its 5 grand u gotta pay. And no u don't get s diploma. U get a job after the schooling
