If it was centered on the trailer, 5 chains should have been more than enough.

I have hauled fuel tanks to the bush up some terrible roads, so the loggers and miners had fuel tanks. They never move at all.
Big tanks, I throw on 5 chains and go. So now am incredibly curious.

Couldnt u just run chain from one side to other and put binder on each corner. 4 anchor points 2 chains. Or is that to much work. I never hauled skid steers but id imagine they have dedicated securement points

I've hauled a lot of skidsteers.
4 chains on the actual machine itself, and 1 over the bucket, for a total of 5. Maybe overly cautious for some, but never lost a load in 34 years so it works for me.
