Working only 9mths?

I would be mad as &@%# if I had to work 9 months straight, There is a reason I quit construction. lol

 

I retired from UPS. It's not the easiest to get into but not impossible. You will never get a position working nine months a year in a feeder tho. That's where the money is at.

 

I drag soda around for Coke these days. I love it, it's got pretty much the same structure as UPS so I felt comfortable with the way things are done on day 1 but I don't have the super bean counters messing up the company like UPS. It literally feels like the same company, same management structure (my DM is a retired UPS center manager) , same crappy old trucks lol, just not the same amount of bs. The pay is lower, I make $9/hr less at coke but I have a pension coming from ups and I'm happy. It's fun because I never know what I'm going to be doing from day to day so it doesn't get stale.

 

Wasnt to tough. They hired a guy who quit seasonal due to a previous injury and the two other guys who came over after me from my former company didn't return in late spring due to falling behind financially.

Im at parcel. Ive done some local moves/ customer pick ups but mainly run from terminal to terminal.

 

It's not bad. It's mostly pushing/pulling a pallet jack and set up dollys for doubles as far as physical work. The trucks we have are 99% Bay loaders with a lift gate, everyone is getting away from chucking cases off a side loader.

 

If I were you I would do a full year first, then take a few months off
