I didn't see a manual primer on the pump. I did see what looks like some kind if quick connect fitting on it.
It's not scaring me away. I knew thered be issues going into it.

Most N14's never had a primer pump or electric lift. Fill filter to the top prior to install. Now that quick connect could be a source sucking air. Sorry I'm trying my hardest but not seeing or hearing it, is difficult.

The wix 33406 has a stand pipe. The LLF1000 I have no idea.

It's got a rubber nipple cap over the quick connect so it should be sealed over that part. And I understand I appreciate the help for sure. Is either of those filters one with an anti drain back or do I need to find a different one?Al. Roper, 1951 ford, Crusader66 and 11 others Thank this.

According to wix website this 33406 filter is a 5 micron - has standpipe. So I'm looking at one that has the anti drainback valve?

Funny i find the more miles on the ol gal the more i have to grind, prod, chase and fiddle around to get it in there. Maybe im doin it wrong.

No it helps. But I would not rely on said rubber cap.
