Loads don't get to customers on time, customers whine loudly, excitement rolls down hill, etc.

I've said my piece to the boss man a couple of times to little effect.

Even said stuff directly to co worker about stepping it up, but I can't make the horse drink.

 

And hopefully the driver and any others involved are ok.

 

Bad management. Are they paying you for stepping in for the slacker?

 

Rates and volume.

There's gonna have to be a change right quick and that's for sure.

 

No it isn't.
I get called to a lot of wrecks as clean up.
I have loaders, excavators, trucks, low beds, gravel trucks etc. So can load and haul almost anything.
I've been to probably over a thousand crashes as clean up. This was just an easy one today, didn't even truck the loader to it, I just ran the loader down the hwy with a pilot car in front of me and another behind me. Then the flaggers would block the hwy so my trucks could swing across the hwy and back in the driveway you can sort of see down near the big white sign. I ran the logs down to my trucks. The logging truck and trailer are a write off anyway, so once the logs were gone, i simply dragged it further into the ditch, then once it was where it could be flipped upright again, i got the rotator pulling from the hwy, and with me lifting from the ditch using the loader, flipped it back onto the few axles still left lol. We unhooked the pieces and i carried them one at a time to the driveway, where i had called my daughter to bring the lowbed down and park it, loaded the trailers one at a time onto the lowbed, she chained them down, run them back to the yard, unload it, and come back for the next piece... Too many missing axles on the truck itself to tow it, so I lifted it onto the lowbed like the trailer pieces, and had her run that to the yard to. Not what I was planning to do today lol

 

He said he fell asleep, didn't hit anyone else thankfully, he is banged up pretty good and went to emergency in an ambulance. Not life threatening, but some broken bones and cuts.

 

No, and yes the management isn't the best. Bossman has a hard time figuring out when he needs to twist the screws.
