This is why nothing gets changed,we are always attacking each other instead of the trucking companies.Think about the changes we could make if we attacked the trucking companies like we do each other!

I also attended the Columbus school and found it to be a very good school. What are some of your instructors names?

Well we had 2 Pauls, my road trainer was Tom, Dale is still the training director (good guy). Others were John, Arty, Briley.

Any of these names familiar to you?

When did you attend school there?

I told Dale that some of the equipment needed to be better maintained (he is also the master mechanic there) and gave him some feed back on some of the other instructors (like them being on their dam cell phones all the time instead of instructing etc.)

Overall though I thought it was a decent school. IMO the school should be about a week longer in duration.

"Attacking" trucking companies isn't going to get anyone anything. And most of the attackers don't have any fact or basis when they make their statements. I for one would like to read fact, something that would make the person making the statements appear to have done some homework.

I would never look for "FACT" on here and most on here are talking about what happened to them just as I have but would it happen to you, cant say and if I really wanted fact then I would talk to as many drivers as I could but at truck stops or where ever for on here you can be anything you like.As for attacking trucking companies it would get you things but who believes in union's anymore? My Dad was a union member and every year he got paid holiday for his birthday. How many truck lines would still be left if we all joined a union, that is my idea on attacking truck lines, would it work,"Yes"will it be done"No". I hate union's but I think it's time for them to make a come back and then drivers will have a say again.JMO

I attended Clark State in Springfield for five weeks and thought it was pretty good. I would have liked for it to have been longer though. Very few schools are really preparing you for a driving job. You're being prepared to pass the CDL exam and that's all. If you're lucky you'll get an instructor who passes his road experiences along to you.

I'm with you about the cell phones... My instructor had it glued to his ear and when he wasn't listening he was texting or getting them. When I said something to him once his reply was that he was watching and not to worry about it. I paid out of pocket and I wanted to get as much as I could from the course since it's hopefully going to be my livelihood.
